Papua New Guinea's fiber optic network combines international submarine cables and extensive domestic networks, significantly improving connectivity and digital access across the country.International Submarine CablesThe Coral Sea Cable System (CS2) is a 4,700 km submarine fiber optic cable linking Port Moresby, PNG, and Honiara, Solomon Islands, to Sydney, Australia. It provides a capacity of up to 40 Tbps using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology and 100G repeaters, enabling faster, more reliable, and affordable internet connectivity for PNG and the Solomon Islands .
